Gregory Dowling, merchant mariner, first wife Ann (†October 1670), second wife Margaret (†c. 1693). His Will, dated 26 November 1674 and published by R.H. Thompson and D.J. Gaunt (BNJ 1992, pp.154-8) makes it clear that Dowling was then commanding the ship Amitie, out of Plymouth, bound for Virginia, USA
