№ 210

15 December 1995

Hammer Price:

Victoria (1837-1901), Threepence, 1849. About as struck, an exceptional coin, with mint bloom, just beginning to lightly tone at margins (£60-70)

With the sharpness of detail and brilliance to fields one would expect of a Maundy coin but just possibly a currency striking, in which case a rare coin, particularly in this state.
