Atkins, J., The Tradesmen’s Tokens of the Eighteenth Century, London, 1892, vi + 415pp (Manville 555). Original quarter morocco, spine and t.e.g.; spine partly detached at top and heavily worn at extremities, second free endpaper inscribed ‘Mr W.S. Lincoln informs me that this book was the property of Mr John Dudman of London. Mr A.H. Baldwin bought his collection of tokens, and I have several of his pieces. W.L. 1916’; heavily annotated and checkmarked throughout by Dudman, some extra annotations and prices realised from sales in the 19th and at the turn of the 20th century added, rubbings and notes from S.H. Hamer inserted; an interesting volume and almost certainly the only record of Dudman’s collection in the public domain £150-200
