The Wreck of the Steamship San Francisco Medal was awarded in Gold to Captain Creghton of the Three Bells of Glasgow; Captain Low of the barque Kilby of Boston, and Captain Stouffer of the ship Antarctic ‘for their gallant conduct in rescuing about five hundred Americans from the wreck of the steamship San Francisco’.
