Young, No.10 Tavistock Street, London, 1798. 8vo, brown half leather, marbled boards. 3 engraved plates, (17) manuscript notes with illustrations, (24 and includes errata on verso of title page), 320, (1) catalogue (see notes), (41) manuscript notes with illustrations including a letter from J.P. Calvert, 1841. Manuscript notes by N.C. Scratcherd throughout. Pasted on free endpaper is a slip with Conder’s signature. Scratcherd makes notes on the provenance of the book and on verso of title page writes ‘Johns Bell exdono Richd. Millar, Novo Castri MDCCC and Febry 22nd 1838. I have often wondered how this book got into the hands of Mr Cross of Leeds (Bookseller) from whom I purchased it. The mystery is this day dispelled by a Catalogue which I have stumbled on, and from which I tear a sheet to be inserted in this work. See page 331 [there is a piece of page missing].
