Victory was claimed in 210 after a 2-year campaign to subdue northern Britain once and for all. This remarkable celebratory issue depicts Severus addressing the troops after the triumphant taking of British prisoners. Though no decisive victory had actually been won, peace to the south of the wall lasted for nearly a century
