Percy Douglas Lyall was born in Ingham, Queensland on 6 October 1919. Living at Kangaroo Point, he enlisted at Kelvin Grove, Queensland on 4 June 1940. Latterly serving in the 9th Carrier Corps, he was discharged on 9 October 1945. With later service in the Australian Forces. M.I.D. and long service medals not confirmed.
The recipient's entitlement to the Korea and Malaya medals is not confirmed
