Alexander Charles Currie was born in May 1873, the son of R. G. Currie, I.C.S. With his twin brother George Hugh Currie, he entered Uppingham School in January 1888 and left in 1892. Latterly employed as a J.P. and as a Deputy Commissioner in Berar, India; he died in February 1953.
