Illustration reduced. John Roddam Spencer Stanhope (1829-1908), the celebrated pre-Raphaelite artist whose main influences were G.F. Watts and Sir Edward Burne-Jones. Ethel Bower (b. 1867), later Lady Harris, the flame-haired sculptor and medallist from London who was a frequent exhibitor of work at the Royal Academy in the Edwardian period and who later befriended Edward Alexander ‘Aleister’ Crowley (1875-1947), student of the occult
