Leslie George Deadman ‘put in considerable service with the B.S.A.P. Mechanical Transport, operating in Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland ... and will be particularly remembered for his services to the game of bowls, playing for Rhodesia some years ago’ (his obituary notice, The Outpost, October 1960, refers).
