The Volunteer Force Long Service Medal to Keller is an incorrect ‘Victoria Regina’ issue and is named in a modern machine-engraved style to accompany his original shooting award.
No. 22 Bandsman John Keller, Kumara Rifle Volunteers, was awarded the New Zealand Long and Efficient Service Medal in 1896.
