Edward VI (?), a small oval base metal badge, young male bust three-quarters left, uncrowned, pendant-like object on neck, rev. Royal arms in Garter, 16 x 11mm, 0.27g (MI I, –). Crude style, very fine with tiny loop for suspension, believed previously unpublished (£80-120)
The attribution to the boy king Edward VI is tentative; however, uncrowned portraits feature on some of Edward’s gold coins and the costume appears similar to that on the uniface lead coronation medal of Edward in the British Museum (MI I, p.57)
