Mjr., 3rd C. of L. (Shptrs.) I.Y.); together with a renamed King’s South Africa, 2 clasps, named to the same recipient but to which he does not appear to be entitled, edge bruising, contact marks, worn (3) £400-500

Frederick Ferguson was born in Stepney, London. A Traveller by occupation and a member of the 4th Middlesex Volunteers, he attested for short service in the Mounted Sharpshooters in London on 24 March 1900. With the 75th Company, 18th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry he served in South Africa, April 1900-June 1901. For his services he was awarded the Queen’s medal with four clasps. He was discharged on 2 July 1901 when his unit was disbanded. Sold with copied attestation papers.
