Day for Pinches, veiled and coronetted bust of Victoria left, the legend removed and engraved (Awarded to Florence Gardner, for the late Mrs Gardner’s collection of Corals & Sponges, Oct. 1883), rev. various types of fish, some in a net, 45mm (BHM 3153; E 1694; Allen Pt 3). Very fine and very unusual as a named medal; in original maroon gilt-blocked case of issue [base damaged] (£70-100)
