Canada General Service 1866-70, 1 clasp, Fenian Raid 1866 (1394 Pte. T. Healey, R.C.R.), impressed naming, good very fine £180-220
Thomas Healey was born in Co. Longford. A Sawyer by trade, he attested for the 30th Regiment at Glasgow in June 1849. With the regiment he served in the Crimean War and was present at the battle of Alma and was severely wounded in the right arm. He later served with the Royal Canadian Rifles, 1866-70 and was discharged at Kingston, Ontario on 3 August 1870 as a consequence of the disbandment of the regiment. Sold with copied discharge papers.
