General officer’s mameluke, 1831 pattern, curved flat solid 84cm blade, etched with crowned GVR cypher foliate scrolls crossed sword & baton, etc., retaining almost all original finish, regulation gilt mounted hilt, ivorine grips, gilt floral rosettes, complete with original gold bullion sword knot, contained in its plated steel scabbard, fine condition throughout £300-350
The plated steel scabbard was introduced in 1898 for both field marshals and general officers.
