Aircraftsman William John Puncher, R.A.F.V.R., died as a prisoner-of-war of the Japanese on 6 October 1942. He was buried in the Jajarta War Cemetery, Java. He was the son of William John and Eliza Puncher of Barry, Glamorgan. Sold with named condolence slip and damaged lid of the card medal forwarding box, addressed to, ‘W. J. Punches, Esq, 9 Ruthen Terrace, Central Estate, Barry, Glam.’ Also with copied research.
