Lanc. Regt.); 1914 Star, with clasp (3915 Sjt., L. N. Lan. R.); British War and Victory Medals (3915 Sjt. J. W. Cawood, L. N. Lan. R.) note spelling of surname on these; Army L.S. & G.C., G.V.R., 1st issue (3915 Sjt., L. N. Lanc. R.) first two with slack suspensions, polished, contact wear and edge bruising, therefore about good fine, otherwise good very fine or better (6) £180-220

Sergeant J. W. Cawood died on 22 April 1919 whilst serving with the 3rd Battalion, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment and is buried in Preston (New Hall Lane) Cemetery, Lancashire.
