Christopher Drummond was born in Hulme and living in Didsbury, enlisted at Manchester. Serving in the 12th Battalion Manchester Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 7 July 1916, aged 39 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. He was the husband of Martha Drummond of 37 Church Street, Didsbury, Manchester.

R. J. Hotson was born in Rutherglen, Lanarkshire and living in Mansfield, enlisted at Newark, Nottinghamshire. Serving in the 1st/8th Battalion Sherwood Foresters, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 31 July 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
