Barnaby joined us in 2022, following a long and illustrious career at Spink. An avid coin collector from an early age, he initially worked in Spink's ancient coin department, where he handled the sale of many notable collections, including the 12 Caesars in gold and silver and a group of Syracuse decadrachms.

Switching from coins to the then niche market of notes in the early 1990s, he oversaw a major transformation in the international banknote market, introducing the world's first dedicated banknote auctions. Recognised as a leading player in the sector, he's handled the sale of many of the world's most important private collections, along with those of major banks and institutions.
